Postcards from Yallingup, WA with Bec Jobson
At ELCE, we’re drawn to the places that slow us down - where days unfold gently and inspiration arrives without effort. ELCE Escapes captures those in-between moments: the landscapes, rituals and rhythms that shape how we live, move and dress.
For this escape, we head to Yallingup, WA with Bec Jobson. Framed by rugged coastline, aquamarine water and red rock, it’s a place defined by contrast and calm - where beach days stretch long and life is lived outdoors.
From early-morning movement and pistachio matcha runs to sunset picnics by the ocean, Bec shares her local rituals, favourite ELCE pieces and the details that make this corner of the coast feel like home.
Where are you writing to us from? Yallingup, WA.
What do you love most about this place? It is a slice of heaven - a quiet costal town that has some of Australia's best coastline and has world renowned wineries scattered all around us.
Describe your favourite view in WA: An untouched beach with aquamarine blue water, white sand and contrasting red rock. You can often go to the beach and not see another person. Just yourself, your towel and a good paperback book.
Your perfect day here looks like… An early morning rise and any form of morning movement. Straight into a pistachio matcha from The Local cafe and then home to my kids. We pack our beach bag with everything we need and post up for hours. We are so lucky to be located at a special place where we have a wild and rugged coast with waves on one side and then just a 10 minute drive away you have the calm bay side so there really is something for everyone.
Straight from the beach to a winery or brewery on the way home. Many venues here have playgrounds and are kid friendly so this helps. Home to a little bit of rest and recovery and to pack a picnic to head back to the beach to watch the sunset over the ocean.
Which ELCE pieces have been travelling with you this summer and where are you wearing them? I love that ELCE pieces are versatile enough to take you from the beach to bar. Simply wearing them to the beach, then adding some accessories to add a refined dimension to take them out on the town. My favourite pieces this summer would be the Serene Sarong in Noir Dolce, Capri Belt in Nero and the Pietra Mini Dress in Lemon.
What are two go-to looks you live in during summer? A sarong is a must, easy to style and transform and a good button up shirt.
One hidden gem you’d recommend to a friend visiting here? Stormflower - a little organic wine cellar door that has french courtyard vibes.
The soundtrack to your summer... OMG - Dopamoon @ Loui Sixteen. Vibes on vibes!
A scent, colour or texture that instantly reminds you of this place. The opposing textures of red rock and crystal clear ocean will always remind me of the unique nature's beauty of this area.
If this place were a postcard, what would you write on the back? Where the waves crash and the wine flows.
