Postcards from Greece, with stylist Megan Murray
There’s something about Greece that feels like stepping into another rhythm. I was there for work, but it’s a place where calm and creativity naturally intertwine. The stunning landscapes, crystal-clear waters, rich history and vibrant culture are also a drawcard too!
My favourite view was overlooking the sea from a charming little church on the top of Serifos at sunrise — absolutely breathtaking and so peaceful and still that early in the morning. You can see this in the new ELCE Sereno campaign! It was just magic!
My favourite way to spend a day in Greece is renting a boat and exploring the stunning coastline and hidden beaches. Afterwards, wandering through charming towns and browsing for hidden gems and unique souvenirs always adds to the adventure.
I always research a place before I arrive – I’m such a foodie so I must always go to the best places to eat – so ending the day somewhere with a delicious dinner with a sunset viewpoint is hard to beat.
One moment I’ll never forget from this trip is when Emily Yates and I almost fell to our death on a hairpin turn on a cliffside road in Greece!!! The car was up on its front two wheels as I tried to navigate the sharp turn without going off the cliff. We still laugh about how crazy that moment was!
When it came to what I was wearing in Greece, I was lucky enough to take the entire Sereno collection with me after our photoshoot - truly every girl’s dream to have it all at my fingertips! I especially loved the knit pieces. The Manon striped set was my go-to for travel days, it’s comfortable yet chic. The Aura dress was another favourite, it’s the ultimate day-to-night piece, incredibly comfortable and its knit fabric means no creases, which is a lifesaver when packing.
For those scorching beach days, the Yoli dress was my go-to so easy to throw on and I love the low-back detail. I also mixed and matched many of the pants with swimwear, which made for such versatile, easy looks. And of course, blue was a constant theme one of my favourite colours and the perfect match for every Greek backdrop.
My go-to looks were a breezy dress with ballet flats, a chic swimsuit and a casual linen set -all you need for a trip in Greece.
A hidden gem I’d recommend to anyone travelling here, is Athens! I think it’s a city that often gets overlooked! The vintage shopping is incredible, and the food scene blew me away - Islandsia for dinner is an absolute must and Wine Is Fine is the perfect spot to try an amazing orange wine. The history and ruins are breathtaking; there’s something so special about walking through such an ancient, vibrant city.
The soundtrack to my trip included a lot of Nu Genea -on repeat throughout the trip. Their music is so vibrant and fun, the perfect backdrop for sipping a drink by the beach and soaking up the atmosphere.
One thing that will always remind me of this trip is the scent of salty sea air mixed with the sweetness of fig tree. It instantly takes me back to the Greek islands, all framed by the vibrant blue-and-white architecture that’s just so iconic there.
If this place were a postcard, on the back I would write:
“Currently collecting sunburns, sunsets and bougasta crumbs—send help (or join!)”
Until next time,
